Briefing and equipment check.
We follow the little road up to the Nambino refuge cable car: from this point we go up into the woods along the winter trail to the refuge. Still in the wood, we follow the summer path up to the “Busa dei Cavai” and then, without any obligatory track, we climb more or less maintaining the ridge up to lake Serodoli. From the lake, we follow a ridge on the left that leads to the final shovel. The shovel can be climbed on foot (with skis on the backpack) or with skis if the snow conditions and the technical level allow it.
The descent is very enjoyable because it is wide and the entire upper part is free of vegetation. We can decide to retrace the same itinerary as the ascent (slightly easier), or descend towards lake Lambin and follow the narrow rill that forms the stream.
In both cases, we return to Nambino refuge, re-enter the woods and return to the plain where we left.
Height difference in ascent: 1100 m
Height difference in descent: 1100 m
Difficulty: MSA
